Homeowner Testimonials

Our second floor handrail installation was a challenge.  Dick Profio returned within days to make sure it was “done right.”  He sure did it right!  He fabricated and engineered a perfect solution.  Dick put a lot of time into all of the work.  The living room thermo-pane didn’t get installed but Eric tells me it’s on a list of items to complete.

I have balked at writing a personal thank-you because it meant so much.  I’ll try to condense my thoughts here.
As a single disabled parent with a special needs son I have long struggled with government “red tape.”  With RTG, there was none.  All this was simply given to us.  Absolutely amazing!  I have never met so many excellent folks in such a short time in my life.  The word “volunteer” has taken on a new and truer meaning for me.  The people from LBWN, RTGM staff, the crew from P&H and other companies, plus those who gave in kind….WOW!  I really can’t say enough.  Not only was our home renewed, you renewed our spirits too.  Brandon has told friends, family, therapists, and school about the people who ‘fixed” his house and how much “better” it is.  This kind experience is a milestone in his life.  For me, our home is safer, more functional, just plain nicer and I can breathe easier and actually relax a little, appreciate and enjoy our home and be proud again.  Keep going and growing.  Get the word out.   Try to increase media coverage and recognition.  I’m out of words – THANK YOU!

This was my first time dealing with any kind of project, so I am thankful for all that has been done for me. I can only say, “Thanks” to the group that was at my home. The RTGM volunteers were polite, able, kind, caring and concerned from top to bottom.  Thank a million!

(#1) The new bathroom has giving me the ability to enjoy relaxing baths and be able to shower.  I have never had a shower.  The washer and dryer gives great pride to be able to do for myself.  The doors give me air and security.  The front steps make feel safe to leave the house.  Best communication on what is happening and what and when things will get done.  Thank you for everything!

(#2) Dear Rebuilding Together and all the volunteers from Northwestern Mutual, On behalf of Christine (Dolly) K., we want to give you all a heart felt THANK YOU for refurbishing her home on May 20, 2006.  The work that was accomplished in the one day was fantastic.  To all of the volunteers, WOW!!!! You were like a swarm of busy little bees that came, saw, and conquered your tasks with the greatest of ease.  Dolly was so happy and grateful for everything.  She was very excited about her new washer and dryer, but the light switch and ceiling fan in her room at this point would have to be the highlight.  Dolly invited the other neighbors in to see all of the work that was done.  She also walked around with me after the crews had left to see all of the work.  Although she has not made it into the attic yet, she did venture downstairs with me to see her new basement floor and out the freshly painted back porch.  Once again THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE.  MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

It was a wonderful experience!  I feel overwhelmed that so may people put so much work into our house.  I would have never been able to do so much or afford it.  Quinn loves his new floor (he has been waiting three years for them) and I love most our new backyard.  Thank you, Thank you!
